Accelerating Progress Through Expression

Written by: Kara Dugan, President (she/her)

At Razorfish Health, we are proud to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in order to fuel the practice of modern medicine and drive more equitable outcomes for patients. While this commitment is year-round, Black History Month is an especially important reminder to understand the legacy that influences African Americans and to celebrate their ongoing contributions.

This year’s Black History Month theme is "African Americans and the Arts," which reminds us that art is not only a core expression of human creativity, but also an essential platform for cultural preservation and social justice. This theme shines a necessary spotlight on the Black artists, both past and present, who have paved a way to progress through various mediums. It also couldn’t be more relevant to those of us in the advertising industry, who are inspired by and communicate through art each day.

As an agency, RFHers are encouraged to show up (or log on) every day as our most authentic and artistic selves. We leverage our commitment to science and innovation while holding creativity at the core of our work. It humbles us to step back and reflect on the power of storytelling—not just for our clients and our people, but for society overall.

That’s why this year, RFH will celebrate Black History Month with an eye toward storytellers who are empowered—and empower others—through their artistic mediums. Today, we invite you to view our curated calendar, included below, of events happening around our Chicago, NYC, and Philly offices. These events celebrate and pay homage to the contributions of African Americans in the arts and inspire us to broaden the way we think about our work and the audiences we aim to serve.

Be sure to follow along with us this month on our socials, @razorfishhealth, to discover more opportunities in support of Black History Month, and walk alongside us on the path to progress.

If you are interested in joining the RFH team, check out our open roles. We know you are not your resume; we understand you are not your work; and we respect that you are so much more than a job description. You are you. So come be you—and do you—with us.
